Oh, I forgot to post this experiment finished last week. I am still undecided about it.

Another new painting of Cassandra. These poses were shot from up on a ladder above, which makes her seem kind of weightless.
Fresh off the easel - a new double portrait.
New work! “Death in the Afternoon” + the piece close to finished, on the easel. The colors are like Absinth and hazy glowing afternoon sun, so Hemmingway’s famous cocktail came to mind. The double entendre with the french meaning of death, “le petite morte” also suits.

Two new pieces. I am interested in the false modesty of these poses.
This is my first time using the Arches Oil Paper, which is a specialty paper that is not gessoed, but is archival for oil paint. I did the usual pastel drawings (a bit harder to get details with this surface) and then added oil paint for texture and variety in the backgrounds. You can see bits of oil paint more clearly in the close ups.
Seraphina Song is the model.
